I’m headed into this week feeling really good! After a week full of travel, a few days at my firm’s corporate training center, and a Disney movie night with Dazell, it feels like nothing can get me down!
My Wellness Goals for the week of August 19, 2018
Fitness Goal: Complete 3 workout sessions or fitness classes
So, I haven’t been very successful with my fitness goals this month, but I’m not giving up on them! I hit the gym this past Saturday and I was reminded of how great it feels to be sore! Even if I don’t make it to any structured classes this week, I’m committing to getting these workout sessions in!
Nutrition Goal: Low carbs, low sugar!
I’ve been thinking a lot about what foods will make feel like my best, most energized self. And as tough as it is, eating a low-sugar diet seems to get the job done! This week I’m working to turn away from the same old “easy-yet-delicious” meals–hello pasta!–and eat what my body needs most.
Spiritual Goal: Read another 7 chapters of Genesis
Another rollover from last week, since I wasn’t successful in getting this done.
Social Goal: 2 hours dedicated to my friendships.
This week I have plans to connect with a few people via phone and a few others in person. I’m hoping to stay true to this goal and foster my relationships a bit more intentionally.
Mindset Goal: “I will” vs. “I wish”
An amazing reminder to dream big, I’m spending sometime this week intentionally planning out my next steps (instead of wishing I could somehow change my future).
