Are we seriously halfway through August already?! This has been a long, crazy summer for me, filled with life changes, city hopping, and a considerable attempt to “get it together.” But before the summer comes to a close, I took a look back on my absolute favorites from the past few months.
This jumpsuit I found on Amazon is super cute, lightweight, and (best of all) affordable! And it’s made for the perfect “look like you tried” outfit for someone like me, who hates spending time coordinating my outfits and isn’t too concerned with being “trendy.” Easy to accessorize and to pack for a weekend away, I received tons of compliments while wearing this piece and got numerous wears out of it.
I was introduced to this incredible resource by a coworker a few weeks ago. And while I’m only a few videos in, these guys have already transformed the way I read the Bible. Beyond a verse by verse, or chapter by chapter study, The Bible Project is a great resources for setting context in the word. It’s helped me feel more empowered to be develop a stronger study on my own.
I know—it has not so casually been 100+ degrees the past few weeks in Texas, but a cup of this herbal tea has been a treat this summer. And it’s equally delicious when served iced. I’m in love with Harney & Sons’ tea selection and this flavor is by far my fave!
As I’ve started taking steps to eat more natural, chemical-free foods, I’ve started to question what it means to have a healthy lifestyle. I heard guest on an episode of The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey mention that she washes her face with honey, and I’ve been hooked ever since! I mean, how weird is it to eat whole foods, use natural hair care products, and then use chemicals on my skin? I’m happy to welcome this natural antioxidant into my daily routine.
5) Low Country South Carolina (and the snacks)
In additional to an incredible amount of family time, this summer’s trip down to the low country reunited me with two of my all time favorite foods—boiled peanuts and deviled crabs! I mean, what better way to reminisce on your childhood than with delicious food options. If you’re never had either (or haven’t been to the Low Country, for that matter) add ‘em to your bucket list.
